All About NHVAS Accreditation

The NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme) is a formal process that recognizes operators who have implemented robust safety management systems. This accreditation is increasingly being used to demonstrate compliance with general duty requirements under Road Transport Law. The NHVAS is overseen by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).

As a provider of NHVAS accreditation support, we offer comprehensive assistance to help you become accredited under your chosen module. The available modules include Mass Management, Maintenance Management, and Fatigue Management (Basic or Advanced).

We have developed user-friendly manuals and forms that are designed to simplify the accreditation process. Our consultants are well-versed in the NHVAS requirements and will guide you through the system, ensuring you have a thorough understanding of the steps involved. We also provide ongoing support and assistance whenever needed.

By partnering with us, you can have confidence in meeting the rigorous standards set by the NHVAS. Our aim is to make the accreditation process seamless and straightforward for you, enabling you to demonstrate your commitment to safety management in the heavy vehicle industry.

NHVAS consists of three modules:

ASSISTING WITH YOUR ACCREDITATION

To become accredited within Western Australia, operators must establish management systems for Fatigue, Maintenance, Dimension & Loading and, if required, Mass Management. External auditors, such as Heavy Vehicle Auditing, then audit the modules to ensure they meet the required Mainroads standard. This Audit Report is then submitted to Main Roads for approval.
